Postie just arrived!

Oww! I just love the fireman material !!!

Qld Flood donation

Last Thursday there was $2798.00 raised by a collective of WAHMs for donation for the Queensland Floods .
What a brilliant effort!
 :)
My first Bare Rumps nappy that has ever been sold collected a whopping $ 100 donation from the lovely and kind-hearted Anita.

In surprise to her amazing donation I could not help but to put in a OOAK nappy for her also . :) This lovely package of Bare Rumps goodness is going out to her this afternoon...

American Vintage Country

This is a little look at something I worked on while my daughter slept today.

Yes! It will be a patchwork nappy!!!

Because this is my first patchwork nappy, I thought I had better respect the traditional patchwork craft and use these American Vintage Country prints.

By golly, the next one will be much more modern! But this nappy will be for that special family that admire rustic threads...

A nappy for the gorgeous Stevie

You remember how I said I have a wonderful team on board? Well Stevie is one of them. She is quite crafty at the old digital scrapbooking I must say, so in exchange for her computer help, I have made her this OOAK ruffles, I really hope you like it :)

The next few weeks are about getting all the nappies out to the lovely ladies that have helped me - Emma, and Alyssa - you girls are next on my list. Bartering is such a lovely system!

Then a little break with my 10 day holiday, and then back into it upon my return! :) All the nappies will be posted once I get back on the 10th Feb .

Here are a few more tasters of panels I have been working on in the last few days as well...
Well, that is my lunch/blog break over! Time to snap some nappies!!!!

Labels arrived today !!!

Bare Rumps labels!

The paw symbol is the Tassie Tiger footprint - inspired by this wild country that I am honoured to live in.
Gosh it feels like forever I have been waiting for these labels - so much work and hours have been put into them to get them to this point, so when the postie delivered them this morning I could have fallen over with excitement!
Now I can get some of them sewn onto the nappy cuts that are waiting patiently to be sewn up once I hear more back from the testers.

An Update

A list of todays doings: 1st photo shoot happening today... nappy cut embroideries arrived in the mail... expecting a package of labels this afternoon... and just started a Dr. Seuss nappy whilst my daughter has a lunch-time nap now!

The website is coming along swimmingly I must say and I am lucky to say I have a pretty amazing team of creative fun mommies along with me for the initial set up of Bare Rumps.

Feeling pretty happy about the progress of the tester nappies so far, and learning quite a lot from them.
I will show you my labels when they arrive :)

Todays Ruffles inspired by Kirst Spagnolo for her devotion to ruffles

We most certainly were blinded by the ruffles last night over at "Buy and Sell your MCNs" by a very late night destash LOL.

I did not even see the write-up (far left only for sale) I just was overwhelmed by the pretty ruffle nappies. The one next to the one for sale in the same photo, and I know you were to!!! So in pure dedication to the love of ruffles here is a taster of this mornings creations :)

A nice little package came in the mail yesterday :)

Designs by the VERY talented Jules from "Little Things Design" http://www.facebook.com/LittleThingsDesign

I have been busy in the studio today totally inspired by unexpected  last night amazing de-stash via http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=94482415428. I can safely say, some ladies did not get much sleep last night and would have a sore refresh-button finger this morning! :)

Kirst Spagnola we both were blinded by the ruffles last night LOL - so I have you in mind with todays coffee-induced whirlwind (I will post some sneak peeks in a few hours time).

Today's ruffles taster

Don't worry! I am still sewing (though it has been a quiet week for me blogging).

I have been busy in the studio just not wanting to show you my designs just yet, as I want to keep it for the first stocking... After all, we ALL LOVE surprises, right?!?

My heart goes out today,,,

Today a major Australian natural disaster is unfolding with the Queensland floods. I have been working on a nappy and wipes for sale for auction for http://www.facebook.com/pages/Qld-Flood-Relief-Fundraiser/138153132912633 so I ask can you please head over and show your support for this cause that is close to all our hearts.

Here are a few tasters of today's projects also below.

Stay safe everyone in the affected areas - my heart is with you today. Australia is our golden country and together we will recover strong.

Ruffles are a girls best friend!

As soon as my daughter went to bed tonight I was in the studio. I worked on some boy stuff last night - but tonight its all about the girls!
Here is a little sneaky peek! :)

It is really great because I am able to still work on the outers of the nappies on the next month or so (whilst the testers are out) rather than making complete nappies, however having a pretty fail-proof pattern like Fattycakes, I am very confident that the studio will be full steam ahead pretty soon!

Sneaky peek for the mums with non-stop little party boys!

Doof party monster

Here is a sneaky peek of something I was working on last night. I was going to be dyeing minki last night but alas have been advised on the wrong dye. So I thought I would make the most of the sleeping angel and head to the studio.

Let's share the handmade goodness! PAY IT FORWARD :)

The lovely Belinda from GullyGaloo  posted a Pay It Forward blog post, so I replied and am posting the same.

"I promise something handmade to the first five people  who leave a comment here. However, to be eligible, you must repost this message, offering something handmade to 5 other people. The rules are that it must be handmade by you, and it must be sent to your 5 giftees sometime in 2011. Ready, set, go!!!"

I draw, make cloth nappies , cloth-wipes, boosters, felt wool , spin wool, photograph, make paper, made dolls, paint, etch, make quilts, make babies (but I could not possible give you mine!)

Please comment here and repost this on your blog or Facebook page. First 5 comments get something handmade from me - although this may take a few months to organise everyone!

FIND ME on my Bare Rumps page via Facebook  and  post on my page so I can get your postal details!!!!

One component of the Boosters

Today I have been busy cutting boosters. I am preparing heaps of stuff while the testers are busy at work, hence there will be a lull in the nappy-making department until I get some feedback (which has been so far, so good!) This gives me time to work on boosters, ruffles and designs.

I would love to get a early night , but I feel really inspired tonight! (I cannot just switch that stuff on and off, either). So I had best run with it - see you all on the other side! :) Might whip up that last VHC medium tester, too!

OOAK cotton candy

This OOAK is ready to be snapped! This is a gift for a very special friend of mine. It screams "girl"... I cannot really imagine getting much more of a Cotton Candy feel than this one! :) Fit for a princess...

OOAKs really are a "labour of love"...

xoxo

My work has been approved!!!

I am so excited about this!!!!!

The creator of Fatty cakes pattern has approved me to use this fantastic patten , my sewing skills have passed!!!!!

After testing 4 different licensed patterns, this is the one I have decided to go with
.
The fit is just fantastic and I just love the wideness of the front panel (as it means more room for me to play with my material panels!)

The best thing about this pattern that is so generous for larger children (which I find quite hard to find personally in the world of MCN patterns).

Well I am off to do a "happy dance" now! :)

My card design!!!

I just love my business cards :)
They will be here in time for the Tasmanian Circus Festival (which I am just a tad excited about... OK, REALLY really excited about!!!!!!!)

I am going to have a stall, take samples of Bare Rumps nappies just to look at and get a feel of the nappies, hand out my cards, and talk cloth like the crazy cloth-bandit woman I am! (Look what motherhood has done to me! LOL)

I also have my Thank You cards coming (but I cannot show you them) - they are a special little something  just for YOU when you get your Bare Rumps nappies in the mail ;)

A late night sneak peek for some FB ladies :)

I am still yet to do some trimming of threads so ignore any fly-aways! ;)
